Protezione / Protection
“Marta could not but cast a fleeting glance at Enrico’s armor. Not him, poor guy, he would never have gone shopping in London. He was still wearing his old zinc-plated sheet-metal armor, inside which, so many years ago, she had met him. It was decorous, certainly, without a trace of rust, but how hard it was to maintain!”
Starting off from a story of a potential world where people are obliged by law to wear protective armor, there will be discussion of ongoing research on the development of exoskeletons adapted for humans and on the consequences of the efforts being made to reinforce the faculties of the human body.
